I can hear the bells . . .

Tonight has been a pretty good. I saw Hairspray in the theater. I am now drinking chai, eating a grilled roast beef and cheese sandwich on sourdough with garlic salt, watching Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, and George Murphy in For Me and My Gal. I'll be getting my final installment of Harry Potter tomorrow from Amazon.com. Yeah, life is good.

Just so you know, please don't expect another post from me until the book is finished. Not that I'm completely regular about blogging, but just in case any of my "devoted fans" will miss me I wanted to let you know what was up.

The title comes from the song of the same title from Hairspray. See it, it was a lot of fun! It had me dancing in my seat the whole time.

A Little Fall of Rain

That's it. All we need is one tiny drop of rain. I am soooooo tired of the fires. Tahoe, Markleeville, Reno, Hills up to Virginia City. Ugh. It also is upsetting that some of my friends' homes were completely burned to the ground in the Tahoe fire. I feel like I should have been able to help prevent it, but I can think of nothing. Perhaps I should perform a few thousand rain dances to prevent the fires for the rest of the summer. I'm sure it would also help with the heat . . .

Leigha's here for a week and has been here a week. It's so funny to have her around. She is a queen at making goofy faces, telling funny stories, dancing around and singing. When she spent the night with me last week one of the things we did was to watch The Sound of Music which she'd never seen before. She liked it a lot, but there seemed to be something she didn' t understand. As she watched, she kept saying "Oh, look at all the Jews!" Apparently she and my mom started reading about Anne Frank the night before. I laughed.

Janina's coming home this week for a few days. Yay!!!!!!!!! It's sad that I don't get to hang out with her whenever I'd like (not that I was always able to, but it's harder when she's in Anaheim).

I'm excited about seeing Harry Potter on Wednesday. It's Nicole's birthday so we're all going out to eat and then to see it. It's my least favorite of the books in some ways (Harry's stupid angst and whining gets really old quickly). However it has some fantastic events! What am I looking forward to more? The book coming out!!!!! It is sad that it'll be the last of the books. And I do believe Harry is going to die. I think he has to. I do believe he's one of the horcruxes.

Anyway, I should get back to memorizing lines. It needs to be complete by tomorrow night! EEK!!!!!!!! I've put off too much of it this week by rereading all of the Harry Potter books. Bad Lynette!

The title of the post comes from the song with the same title. It's from Les Miserables. I think this may be one of my favorite parts in the whole show.
